My mom is the strongest person I know. Her strength emanates from the duality in her role as a mom: a free spirit but and an old soul; a warrior and a peacekeeper; a parent and a best friend. But most importantly, she has empowered me to be independent, resilient, and compassionate. My mom raised herself while she raised us. Because she is my mom, I know I will always be okay.
