Ladies! Stick together and spread the love. Challenge each other to be better.
I love being a woman. Truly. I feel strong as a woman because I have goals and ambitions that I deeply desire to pursue in my life, but I also know how to place others before myself while still making sure I take care of my individual needs successfully. There’s a certain receptivity to those around us that I always wanted to have while I was growing up. It’s a noticeable trait that I always desired. I always appreciated people who really listened to me and truly cared about how I was doing in my life instead of just filling our conversation with small talk every time. So I wanted to be that woman myself. I wanted to be that girl that people came to for advice, for nurturing, or just for a shoulder to cry on or a friend with which to laugh.
And while I would say this compassionate nature is what makes me strong, I definitely think being confident with myself, being sassy, and being unapologetically me also makes me strong. I stopped worrying about what others think of me and started realizing that I’m beautiful just the way I was created. There is a reason that I was created the way I was. So I own it. And I try to spread that newfound joy to others around me and help other women realize that they are beautiful by being themselves, too, because I struggled with that for such a long time leading up to now.
There are so many beautiful women in this world that are so often torn down by other women because of the competitive nature of our society. Ladies! Stick together and spread the love. Challenge each other to be better. Not than each other, but be better women in general! There’s no other way to do it.
