When I struggle, I still find the time to help and care for others.
I’m a survivor.
I’ve survived complex trauma, addiction, and bulimia. All 3 of those things could have killed me, but I persevered. I found the strength to ask for help and found resilience through my recovery.
Which has not been easy while trying to carve a place for myself in the world.
When I struggle, I still find the time to help and care for others. I am soft, but I am tough. I have the ability to stand up for myself. I tell people no. I don’t allow my past and others to define who I am.
I could have thrown in the towel. I could have turned hard, but I chose to embrace kindness, mindfulness, empathy, joy, life, and happiness.
I deeply and completely accept myself for who I am and that’s what makes me a strong woman.
